Take Advantage of PLR to Create Your Own Marketing Products

If you have an online marketing business, you've likely heard all about PLR or “Private Label Rights” content. If you aren't familiar with PLR products, basically they are digital items (articles, ebooks, etc.) that are available for you to edit and use in various ways.

It sounds very general, right?

Well, the reason the description is so vague is that PLR content can be found in many forms:

• eBooks
• articles
• newsletters
• ezines
• small reports
• website templates
• audio and video courses

While I mentioned you can use them as you choose, be careful because each PLR product will usually include a “right” file with information on the use of the product. Most PLR services allow you to edit the items any way you want and use the content in your own products. However, typically you can not sell the actually PLR rights to anyone else.  Just be sure and read the fine print.

There are many things you can do with PLR products. You can rewrite PLR articles to post to article directories. In addition to article directories, you can social bookmark these articles or put them on your social network sites, like Twitter or Facebook. You can package a bunch of the articles and create your own eCourse or eBook to give away for free or sell online.

It is important that when you get access to PLR rights, you use them correctly and make changes to improve the product. The quality may not also be top-notch. Also, remember since they are PLR, that means it is very likely hundreds of others are using the exact same product. Make yours unique!

Having PLR can save you time by giving you a headstart on your business or product. Many times, these products may just trigger an idea that you can make into your own with new text, graphics, and information that extends the information in the PLR. Think of PLR as a shell or foundation to a better product. Make the product your own!
