Blogging has come a long way since it first started off. What was once looked at as a personal website for rambling thoughts has now turned into a way to make money online.
If you look online, it seems like there is a blog for every man, woman and child. But, many businesses have a blog, even Google and Facebook have their own blogs. Here are six benefits of blogging for business.
1. Blogging is Easy
What I mean by this is it does not take much to get a blog going and anyone can set one up for free. One of the reasons so many people are blogging is because it is really easy way for a business to get exposure online.
You can have a professional
looking blog in just a few hours. Once your blog is up and running, you have complete control over the content on the site. There are literally thousands of blog
templates that are really well designed. You can modify a template with a
few simple clicks. You can also add plug-ins to create a blog that can
accomplish just about anything you want it to.
2. Blogging is Inexpensive
You don't have to hire a website designer to get a site up online. You can easily spend several hundreds and hundreds of
dollars on a very basic website. But, even with your own self-hosted blog, it will cost you less than twenty-five dollars and that includes the
domain name and the hosting.
3. Blogging Connects and Stays Current
While a static website does not allow much interaction, a blog gives readers more involved in your business. Blogging is a way to connect to other like-minded people. You can get online and share your business with others. A blog can attract and connect with people who are interested in the same topic. You can share, learn and grow your business with others globally.
By having a blog on your website, it adds opportunities for you to keep your business alive and up to date on current issues or products.
4. Blogging is Profitable
If you have a successful blog, you can make good money as well. Many
people who began to blog about their passions for personal reasons found
themselves in the limelight. If you have a good following, people will come back for more. More traffic equals more blog profits. For example, the movie "Julie & Juliet" was about a real
blogger who cooked her way through Julia Childís cookbook.
While you may not end up on the big screen, you can promote products you love and earn affiliate
income. You can promote your own products or services. You can simply
earn money on advertising revenue. Blogs with a lot of subscribers can
demand high rates for ad space.
5. Blogging Builds your Business
Having a blog is a great way for people to find out more about your business. You can use your blog to promote yourself and your business. For example, if you sell products, you might create a blog about your sales strategy. You can use your blog to establish yourself as a credible authority on the subject.
Having a blog gets your exposure to other people in your career field who may be interested in your products or business strategy by reading your blog. Many businesses use blogging as a means
to market, grow and profit. If you've ever contemplated starting your
own online business you can launch it with a blog.

In my time on the computer since I have been back online I have only seen one blog, I was invited there from a member of hub pages. I have heard they can help a business grow and can't understand why when I was searching the web I never came across one.
